It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodney Bennett Strickland (Waycross, Georgia), born in Baxley, Georgia, who passed away on February 3, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Leo Strickland and Myrtle Mae Bennett Strickland; and his siblings, Mona Hickox, Victor Strickland, Dot Deane and William "Billy" Strickland.
He is survived by: his wife Mallie Mae Griffin Strickland; his stepchildren, Edward Allen Crews of Hoboken and Teresa C. Hurst (Jamie) of Hoboken; his grandchildren, Austin Harris, Kyler Harris (Bethany), Spencer Harris and Brandon Crews; his great grandchildren, Briar Harris, Braxton Harris and Harlyn Harris; and his siblings, Marshall Strickland, Leo Strickland, Shirley Hickox and Dee Terrell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
