He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Lee Dyson and Patsy Chavis Dyson. He is survived by: his wife Julia Herndon Dyson of Waycross; his stepchildren, Jessie Smith of Waycross, Judy Smith Wilson (Brian) of Waycross and James Smith (Dawn) of Waycross; his siblings, Cheryl Thomas (Chuck) of Millwood, Crissy Denney (Daniel) of Waycross, Darryl Dyson (Yvonda) of Waycross and Dennis Dyson (Terri) of Waycross; and his nephew Robert Hunter Thomas of Millwood. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
