He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Powell and Beatrice Rollins Powell; and his wife Verna Jean Gloster Powell. He is survived by: his children, Bernice Powell of Waycross, Monica Powell (BoBo) of Waycross, Bertha Powell of Waycross, Timika Revis of Waycross, Sheila Smallwood (John) of Waycross, Juanita Smith (David) of Alma and Will Powell of Adel; and his siblings, Minnie Ryals of Eastman, Dora Williams, Mamie Reynolds, Robert Powell (Marie) of Waycross and John Edwards (Betsy) of Youngsville, NC. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
