He was predeceased by: his father Lloyd Daniel Griffis; and his grandson Lane Gabriel Tonge. He is survived by: his mother DeLois Taylor Griffis Carter of Waycross; his daughters, Brittany Shook (Shane) of Douglas and Lindsay Tonge (Josh) of Jacksonville, Florida; his grandchildren, Maddox Shook of Douglas, Ava Shook of Douglas, Landry Tonge of Jacksonville, FL and Luke Tonge of Jacksonville, FL; his siblings, Charlotte Sanders of Blackshear, Terry Griffis (Janice) of Blackshear, Debbie Dixon (Lewis) of Blackshear and Donnie Griffis (Kathy) of Blackshear; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Shanks of Roanoke and Bonnie G. Rowe of Douglas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
