He is survived by: his children, Lynn Smart of Waycross, Clarence Smart (Jackie) of High Springs, FL, Gene Smart (Genese) of Blackshear, Randy Smart (Cindy) of Waycross and Allen Smart (Sandy) of Waycross; his daughter-in-law Debbie Smart of Jacksonville, FL; his nieces, Bonnie Beverly of Waycross and Betty Selph of Waycross; his grandchildren, Keith Smart, Robby Smart, Matt Smart, Rebecca Lynn, Gene Smart, Jr., Bradley Smart, Randy Smart, Jr., Jerry Proulx, Derik Proulx, A. J. Smart, Mark Cribbs and Angela Cribbs; and his sister Debbie Musgrove of Blackshear. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
