She was predeceased by: her parent Tot Gillis; and her spouse Aubrey Wheeler. She is survived by: her parent Rose Mae Courson Gillis; her children, Wanda Morton (Tandy) of Waycross, Nancy Slaughter (Tate) of Savannah and George A. Wheeler (Trina) of Waycross; her grandchildren, Nena Morton Spearman (Edward) of Atlanta, Joe Morton of Austin, TX, Annie Slaughter of Savannah, Aubrey Wheeler of Waycross, Jay Slaughter of Savannah and Hannah Wheeler of Waycross; her great grandchildren, Addie Tomlinson of Atlanta, Edward Spearman of Atlanta and Ben Spearman of Atlanta; her brothers, Dougal Gillis (Olivia) of Waycross and Conway Gillis (Ann) of Waycross; and her sister-in-law Connie Wheeler of Alma. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
