She was predeceased by: her parent Estes Strickland; and her spouse Sampson "Sambo" Batten. She is survived by: her parent Eva Mae Taylor Strickland; her granddaughter Cassie Batten; her brothers, Tommy Strickland and Marvin Strickland; her children, Rene Peacock (Randy) of Blackshear, Curtis Batten of Waycross and Dewayne Batten (Patti) of Waycross; her grandchildren, Jason Strickland, Justin Strickland, Holli Batten and Taylor Kicklighter; her great grandchildren, Hunter Glen Crews, Rylan Kicklighter, Hayden Kicklighter, DarcyAnn Kicklighter and Gannon Batten; her stepgranddaughter Valerie Peters; and her siblings, Sallie McGarity of Blackshear, Sue Deshotel of Hawkinsville, GA, Kay Buckingham of DeLand, FL, Ann Weaver of Gainesville, GA, Frank Strickland of Patterson and Johnny Strickland of DeLand, FL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
