She was predeceased by: her spouse Rev. J. D. Bowen; her parents, Curtis Carswell Dixon and Mary Elizabeth Hagin Dixon; her sisters, Nona Pearl Thrift (Ernest Thrift) and Lavon Thomas (Ray); and her brother-in-law David Bowen.
She is survived by: her children, Kim D. Bowen (Kathy) of Talbot, TN and Rhonda B. Tucker (Steve) of Waycross; her grandchildren, Aaron Bowen (Sarah) of Morristown, TN, Jamie Tucker (Rebecca) of Evans, GA, Nicki Bowen Fogg of Jefferson City, TN, Joni T. Blocker (Justin) of Valdosta and Jordan Bowen (Chelsey) of Knoxville, TN; her great grandchildren, Mason Blocker, Emerson Bowen, Cora Fogg, Naomi Blocker, Everly Bowen, Graham Fogg, Steven Tucker and Faye Tucker; and her sister Loretta Bowen of Jesup, GA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
