She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Benjamin Bridges and Fannie Camilla Eldridge Bridges; and her husband James Cecil "J. C.". She is survived by: her brothers, Footwear and Transco Cap Factory; her children, Cary Russell, Clayton Russell, Calvin Russell and Brenda Brown; her grandson Doug Russell; her great grandchild Taylor Jowers; her siblings, Treecia Clark and Jessie Belvie Whiddon; and her sons, Cliff Russell (Harriett) of Conroe, TX, James Mike Jowers (Cheryl) of Waycross, Cecil Allen Jowers (Faye) of Brantley County and Rodney L. Jowers (Dana) of Waresboro. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
