She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Anthony Bufford and Ruth Amason Bufford; and her husband Curtis L. Proveaux. She is survived by: her sons, Sanford Proveaux (Donna) of Dadeville, AL and Harlan Proveaux (Kim) of Newnan, GA; and her grandsons, Zachary Proveaux and Matthew Proveaux. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in her honor to the Bereavement Committee at First Baptist Church, 702 Elizabeth St., Waycross, GA 31501.
