Mary Lea Davis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Lea Davis (Waycross, Georgia), who passed away on February 2, 2020 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Harris Shipes and Collis L. Shipes, Sr.; and her son Roger L. Davis. She is survived by: her friend Martha Johnson; her husband William B. "Bunt" Davis; her siblings, Betty Jo Shipes, C. L. "Buddy" Shipes, Jr. and Wesley E. "Gene" Shipes; her daughter Martha Brantley; her son-in-law Ricky Brantley; her grandchildren, Britt Brantley (Mandy) and Brooke Jaramillo (Steve); her great grandchildren, Emmi Hamrick, Addison Brantley, Alexi Hamrick and Cannon Brantley; her stepgreat-grandsons, Alex of Valdosta and Blake Jaramillo of Valdosta; her sister-in-law Judy Shipes of Waycross; and her nephews, Stephen Shipes (Kim) of Greensboro, GA and Dan Shipes (Robyn) of Beverly Hills, FL. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Building Fund of Sweat Memorial Baptist Church in her memory.
