Sumner of Waycross and Cathy Cason of Waycross; his grandchildren, Leslie Sumner (Tiffany) of Blackshear and Kera Sumner of Denver, CO; his great grandchild Eleanor Sumner; his former wife Virginia Rouse Sumner; his stepsons, Slade McGauley and Danny McGauley; his stepgrandchildren, Kellyn Carter (Chris), Brentlee Wright, Regan Carter, Logan Carter and Christian Carter; and his sister Janice Moore (Billy) of Valdosta. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
