With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Ruth McNease (Waycross, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2025 at the age of 75. As we bid Linda Ruth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Linda Ruth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin "Sonny" Carter and Laura Bennett Carter; and her husband James Curtis "Fred" McNease, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Pamela McNease Yarbrough (Tony) of Blackshear and Travis McNease (Lori) of Waycross; her grandchildren, Matthew Barnhill (Ashley) and Casandra "Cassie" McNease; her great grandchildren, Nathan Barnhill, Daisy Bigham and Alexa James; and her brother Curtis Carter of Athens. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501).
