He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Deloy Deal and Wanda Thrift Carpenter; and his siblings, Gilbert L. Deal, Kay Ryan Cole and Shirley Deal Welch.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Griffin of Waycross; his children, Joshua Terrell of Jacksonville, Florida and Jessica Morales (Jovan) of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Evan Terrell, Tristan Morales, Julian Morales and Jocelyn Morales; and his siblings, Ivey Deal (Darlene) of Phoenix and Sheila Gadd of Hendersonville, Tennessee. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
