He was predeceased by: his parents, Zibe King "Kay" Herrin and Dallas Orine Dickerson Herrin; and his sister Peggy Herrin. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Jenkins Herrin; his sons, Joseph E. Herrin, Jr. (Tracy) of Clemmons, NC and Kevin D. Herrin (Elaine) of Waycross; his stepchildren, R. Wade Bausch (Cindy) of Blackshear and Al W. Bausch of Waycross; and his brothers, Watson Herrin (Sandy), Jack Herrin (Dale) and Ronald Herrin. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
