He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Pearson and Ima Jean Chastain Pearson; his grandson William Chastain "Chase" Pearson; and his siblings, Jackie Pearson and Shirley Swords.
He is survived by: his son William Scott Pearson of Waycross; his stepdaughter Lori Coker Donnelly; his grandson Chandler Scott Pearson of Blue Ridge, GA; and his former wife Marie Bates of St. Augustine, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
