He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Ashley Spence and Martha Irene Tomlin Spence; and his siblings, Nettie Wood and Steve A. Spence. He is survived by: his children, Jerome "Jay" Spence, Jr. of Fernandina Beach and Tara Blocker of Lake Park, Georgia; his grandchildren, Rainey Dale Zerby, Keith "Jake" Roberts, Jr. and Eternity Brianna Blocker; his great grandchildren, Nova Bleu Lyn Ringer, Carter Bernard Ringer and Sully Lyn Roberts; and his siblings, Joe Spence (Linda) and Dee Peeples (Dan). He is also survived by numerous nieces nephews.
