He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry J. Merk, Jr. and Shirley Lee Peterson Merk. He is survived by: his wife Faye Merk of Waycross; his children, Amanda Merk of Waycross, Allison Merk of Cumming and Ashley Davis (Harmon) of Cumming; his grandchildren, Lee James Carter, Hannah Davis, Sarah Davis and Hazel Davis; his sisters, Janet M. Thomas of Elberton, Joyce M. Prescott (Glen) of Waycross and Jenny M. Pitts (Jamie) of Adel; and his friend March. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
