With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Brasington of Waycross, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 23, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Henry Brasington, Sr. and Virginia Ann Gloss Brasington; his brother Walter Henry Brasington, Jr.; his sister-in-law Helen Penelope Hayes Brasington; his stepmother Evelyn Lea Darley Brasington; and his brother-in-law Ronald Bartlett Clements, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Olivia Clements Brasington; his daughters, Virginia Buff Brasington Visicaro of Waycross and Anna Olivia Brasington of Waycross; his sister Mary Helen Brasington Gibson (Charlie); and his sister-in-law Jo Clements Saye (Jake). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home (130 Screven Ave, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Trinity Methodist Church (1005 Church St, Waycross, GA 31501).
