Iris Hipps Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2025, at the age of 92, Iris Hipps of Waycross, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard F. Drawdy and Mattie Lee Herrington Drawdy; her husband Starling Quincey Hipps; and her siblings, Jerol Drawdy, Joyce Shumpert, Wanda Hampton and Delton W. Drawdy.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara S. Johnson (Walter) of Waycross and Fulton Hipps (Dana) of Waycross; and her siblings, Richard Drawdy (Joann) of Waycross, Ricky Drawdy (Jen) of Illinois, Inez Butler of Hilliard, FL and Shirley Ammons of Waynesville. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
