He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Howard Gibbs and Charlotte Paulin Gibbs; his daughter Sherri Marie Gibbs; and his brother John Jacob Gibbs, Sr.. He is survived by: his sister Jennifer Scurry (Dwayne) of Waycross; his children, Kristi Cornelius of Valdosta, Mason Gibbs (Blaire) and Tony Gibbs; his grandchildren, Marie Lipford, Jessica Kennedy, James Cornelius, Jennifer Solomon, Sabrina Grosschmidt, Haley Gibbs, Rhett Herring and Flynn Armstrong; his nephew Jacob Gibbs; and his nieces, April Kline, Amanda Scurry, Jennifer Wingo and Angela Field. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
