It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geneva Crawford Melton (Waycross, Georgia), who passed away on May 17, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Monsie Crawford, Sr. and Gladys C. Griffin Crawford; her husband Fleming J. Melton; and her siblings, Ralph Crawford, Charles Ray Crawford, B. J. Crawford, Bobby Crawford, Monsie Crawford, Jr. and Larry Crawford.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Lambert (Bill) of Waycross and Lawrence Melton (late Lisette) of Waycross; her granddaughters, Laura Mathis (Brad) of Adel and Lisa Lowary (David) of Waycross; her great grandchildren, Jesse Mathis, Jake Mathis, Katie Altman, Chad Lowary and Anne Elise Lowary; her sisters, Elwanda Howell of Blackshear, Jerrell Basile Bednar of Waycross and Venita Schwartz (Paul) of Waycross; and her sisters-in-law, Jeanette Crawford and Ocie Crawford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
