Gene Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2020, at the age of 92, Gene Smith of Waycross, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, T. C. Smith and Minnie Jordan Smith; his wife Eleanor Smith; and his siblings, Charles Smith, Richard L. Smith, Jr., Andrew Smith, Twyman Smith and Carolyn Smith Barber.
He is survived by: his children, Keiley Lafferty (William) of Hockessin, DE, Kent Smith (Cathy), Keith Smith of Newark, DE and Kevin Smith (Diane) of Newark, DE; and his sister Rosha Lee Jernigan of Waycross. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the Family suggests donations be made to the United Way of South Georgia, P.O. Box 690, Jesup, GA 31598.
