He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Hatcher Bennett of Waycross; his children, Bonnie Bennett Martin of Brunswick and Ernest Kontz Bennett III of Tifton; his grandchildren, Mitch Martin (Colleen) of Brunswick, Carson Martin (Gracie) of Brunswick and Emory Martin of Brunswick; his great grandchildren, Mason and Maddox Martin; and his sister Dale Pedrick of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Kontz Bennett, Sr. and Katie Mitchell Bennett; and a sister, Charity Stelling.
