She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton Henry Burgess, Sr. and Elsie Watkins Burgess; and her siblings, Elnita Burgess, Ollie Fish, Rufus Burgess, Katie Barber, Margert Poston, Newton Henry Burgess, Jr. and Ray Burgess.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Lynam of Waycross; her children, Cathy White (late Norman) of Charlotte, Mary Lanier Summerall (Marcus) of Waycross and Tracy Lynam of Waycross; her grandchildren, Paige White, Mitch White, Jeana Gray (Sam), Nikki Lanier, Chad Lanier, Dylan Lanier (Ashlee), Kelsea Summerall Peacock (Hayden), Billie Jo Lee Manning and Joshua Lynam; and her sister Rosa Fuqua of Roxboro. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
