He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Tatum and Lottie Wildes Tatum; and his siblings, James Hamilton "Hamp" Tatum, Lavenia Bell Tatum, Margaret Simerly, Doris Douglas, Melissie Howell, Lottie Mae Vanhoy and Kathleen Pedrick.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Tatum of Waycross; his daughters, Della Henderson (Don) of Waycross, Selena Thomas (Jimmy) of Waycross, Eva Jane Thomas (Anthony) of Waycross and Amanda Stewart (Wayne) of Waycross; his grandchildren, Hannah Kirk (Cory), Lottie Thomas, Martha Thomas, Mary Kathryn Henderson, Emmie Stewart and Jackson Stewart; his siblings, Jane Bennett (John) of Waycross, George Tatum, Sr. of Waycross and Toomer Tatum (Betty Sue) of Waycross; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Corbitt (Sandy) of North Carolina, Donald Corbitt (Margaret) of Waycross, Annette Corbitt of Blackshear and Azilee "Dinky" Meredith of Jacksonville. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
