With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward C. Dixon of Waycross, Georgia, born in Blackshear, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 29, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Dixon and Sally Dixon; and his siblings, Darthell, Ronnie, Bronzal Dixon, Ilean Baxter, Winlen Walker, Eula Dell Pearson and Deasy Mattox.

He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Aletha Lynn Dixon; his daughter Menza Dixon Krause (John); his grandsons, Maxwell Gordon Mitchell (Sara) and Mason Edward Mitchell (Megan); and his great grandchildren, Odin Alexander Mitchell, Ivan Edward Mitchell and Cade Maxwell Mitchell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
