He is survived by: his wife Eva Bennett Spooner of Waycross; his children, Steven Eben Spooner of Waycross and Mary Janis Spano (Mike) of Perry, GA; his grandsons, Matt Brooker of Atlanta and Josh Thrift of Perry; his stepgrandchildren, Tripp, Sophie and Scarlett Spano of Virginia; and his brother Joe Spooner of Auburn, AL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
