She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmer Duskin and Elizabeth Fields Duskin; her husband Jack Scott Hetherington, Sr.; and her brothers, Field Duskin and Delmer Duskin, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Callaway (Dave) of Waycross, J. Scott Hetherington, Jr. (Clair) of Marietta and Steve Hetherington (Robin) of Lawrenceville; her grandchildren, David B. Callaway, Jr., Allison C. Herrin (Brian), Patricia C. Williams (John), Laurie S. Hetherington, Stephen C. Hetherington, Zachary F. Hetherington, Noah Hetherington and Chloe D. Hetherington; her niece Carol Daniels (Eddie); and her nephews, Robert Duskin (Lucy) and Bill Duskin. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
