He was predeceased by: his parents, G. B. Leggett, Sr. and Katherine Waters Leggett; and his brother Bobby Glenn Leggett. He is survived by: his wife Janet Mathis Leggett of Waycross; his son Christopher David Leggett (Christy) of Blackshear; his grandchildren, Lacy Elaine Leggett and Christopher Cooper Leggett; his brothers, Bennie H. Leggett (Diane) of Waycross and George B. Leggett, Jr. of Waycross; his mother-in-law Patricia J. Mathis of Waycross; and his siblings-in-law, Pam Mathis Byers (David) of Temple, TX, Susan Mathis Smith (Tony) of Milton, GA, Diana Mathis Edwards (Eric) of Lake Hamilton, FL and James A. Mathis of Minot, ND. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and rodeo family members.
