He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Leroy Bennett and Yoshiko Sueta Bennett; and his brother Tony Bennett. He is survived by: his children, Sam Bennett (Libby) of Yuma and Emily Bennett of Columbus, Georgia; his stepson Matthew Dombrowski (Kali) of Cumming, Georgia; his grandsons, Malachi Alexander Ruger-Bennett and Jackson Dombrowski; his sisters, Carol Gibbs of Waycross and Marlene Johnson (Lyle Bentley) of Clearwater, Florida; the mother of his children Joan Bennett of Columbus, Georgia; his nephews, Mason Gibbs (Blaire), Tony Gibbs, Austin Alderman (Tiffany) and Winston Alderman (Kandace); his great-nephews, Finn Alderman, Kane Alderman and Bridge Little; and his aunts, Hideko Sueta of Japan and Junko Sueta of Japan.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home and Crematory (130 Screven Ave, Waycross, GA 31501). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
