He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Spivey and Agnes Hutson Spivey; and his siblings, Gene Spivey, William Spivey, Evelyn Smith, Ethel Haas and Lois Sellers.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Courson Spivey of Waycross; his children, Blake Spivey (Sabrina), Shana Harper (Clay) of Douglas and Leah Lee (Chris) of Vidalia; his stepdaughter Sandra Roberts (Lester) of Blackshear; and his close friends, Erica Fales, Jennifer Crews, Christy Coughnour and Ansleigh Barrett. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
