It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Chancey of Waycross, Georgia, who passed away on September 1, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Cyler Chancey and Stella White Chancey; his former wife Lurlyne Rowell Chancey; and his siblings, D. J. Corbett, Coleman Chancey and Reba Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Chancey of Waycross; his children, David Chancey (Marsha) of Blackshear, Lavell Chancey (Carole) of Blackshear and Charlene Hernandez (Oscar) of Blackshear; his grandchildren, Page Chancey, Cuyler Chancey (Kayla), Ben Chancey (Shirley) and Margaret Chancey; his great grandchildren, Darren Chancey, Kyra Chancey, Lyla Ann Chancey, Kendall Chancey and Zaylie Rae Chancey; his stepchildren, Gail Fullard (Wayne) and Sheryl Griffin (Derrick); his stepgrandchildren, Tim Bennett, Cristy Steedley (Darrell), Buster Jeffers (Casey), Amber Thomas (Matt), Heather Griffin, Shyenne Griffin and Damon Griffin; his stepgreat-grandchildren, John Bennett, Daniel Bennett, Will Bennett, Dalton Steedley, Abbie Steedley, Savannah Jeffers, Brody Jeffers, Mason Thomas, Trinadee Griffin and Zaeden Hamilton; and his brothers, Holton Chancey (Marisa) of Waycross and Chester Chancey (Bonnie) of Waycross. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
