She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Beasley, Sr. and Bernice Helen Ford Beasley; her husband Judge James Edwin Peavy; her stepmother Wilma Cody Beasley; and her half-sister Sandra Beasley Conely.
She is survived by: her children, James Edwin Peavy, Jr. (Caron) of St. Marys, GA and Julie Peavy Hopkins (Joe) of Folkston; her grandchildren, Alva Joseph Hopkins, IV of Macon, GA and Melissa Hopkins Johnson (Greg) of St. Marys; her great grandchildren, Trey Johnson, Joe Johnson and Hank Johnson; her stepgrandson Jason Cornelison (Maggie) of St. Augustine, FL; her stepgreat-grandchild Prudence Rose Cornelison; her half-siblings, William B. Beasley, Jr. (Dolores) of Clearwater, FL and Holly Beasley Wait (John) of Columbus, GA; and her close friend Margie Weaver Rue of Waycross. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
