He was predeceased by: his parents, Claty York and Lillie Mae Cauthen York; and his siblings, Joe, Charles, Frank, Mary and Peggy.
He is survived by: his wife Jane "Pat" York of Waycross; his children, Robert Layne York (Beverly) of Waresboro and Tammy York of Brunswick; his grandchildren, Dakota York (Graci) of Waycross, Brandy Bell of Alma, Ashley Barnes (Aston) and Katelyn Henderson (Daniel English); his great grandchildren, Luke Aston Barnes, Andrew Rett Barnes and Jasper Cole Barnes; his brother Tony York of Ft. Pierce, Florida; and his close friends, Buddy Hartley and Chris Leggett. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
