He was predeceased by: his parents, Coston Davis and Kate Dawson Atkins; his daughter Deborah Ann Davis Lee; his brother C. F. Davis; and his stepson Lessley Tyre.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gattis Davis of Waycross; his daughters, Betty Sue Sturges of Waresboro and Theresa Dowdy (Greg) of Lake Park, GA; his brother Gene Davis (Shirley) of Waycross; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Davis of Luffkin, TX, Gloria Thomas of Waycross, Larry Gattis of Waycross and Robert Gattis (Frances) of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
