She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave McCarthy and Eudell Pittman McCarthy; her husband J. B. James; her former husband Olin Smith; and her grandson Marc McQuaig.
She is survived by: her daughter Faye James McQuaig (Roger) of Waresboro; her granddaughter Alicia McQuaig Carter; and her great grandchildren, Chelsea Hayman (Joseph), Chase Carter, Chaden Carter and Landrey Hayman.
