She was predeceased by: her mother Hazel Margaret Grindle Bruner; her son Micheal Angel Simental; and her sisters, Ann, Shelby and Joyce.

She is survived by: her husband Saul Simental; her daughters, Michelle Cruz (Javier) and Erica Oliver (Jackie); her grandchildren, Aryana, Braylin, Aydan and Makayla; and her sister Lynn Shubert.
