He was predeceased by: his parent Walter Lee Willis; his children, Mary Claire Burns Willis and William John Willis, Jr.; and his brother Walter Lee Willis. He is survived by: his parent Mamie Armistead Willis; his daughters, Martha Leigh Willis of Watkinsville, Nancy Claire Willis of Athens and Catherine Burns Willis Oliver (Mike) of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren, Niki Verrastro (Philip) of Bogart, Hannah Ruth Oliver Turner (Tom) of South Korea, Emily Britton Oliver of Portland, OR and Claire Ellen Oliver of Birmingham, AL; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Anthony Verrastro and Levi William Verrastro.
