He is survived by: his wife Bobbie P. Porter; and his children, Michael Porter, David Porter (Cheryl), Steven Porter (Christina) and Page Porter. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church, 2131 Ruth Jackson Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
