He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mixon and Janette Dubberly Mixon. He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Arnold Mixon; his children, Keith (Ellen), Sanford and Michelle Mixon; his grandchildren, August and Holly Mixon; and his siblings, Dwight Mixon (JoAnn) and LaFern Denney (Barry).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (1211 Jimmy Daniel Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mars Hill Baptist Church (2661 Mars Hill Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677).
