He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Delmar and Lucille Kimbrel Higdon; and his siblings, Alice Faye H. Raustis, Elizabeth H. Odum and James Higdon.
He is survived by: his wife Janelle Kitchens Higdon; his children, Lisa Smith (David), Kim Tittle (Billy), Tina Brown (Ken) and Daniel Higdon (Nicole); and his siblings, Leslie Higdon (Pat), Dottie H. Knepp, Connie H. Poulnott Carr and Virginia H. Jones. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
