With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Ann Dewald (Watkinsville, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lionel Hinely and Violet Hinely; her grandson Matthew Jeffrey Hill; her sisters, Coralie Kelly and Miriam "Mib" Cook; and her husbands, Robert Mickler and Leonard Janofsky.
She is survived by: her former husband Charles Stewart (Joann); her children, Cynthia Dillard (Doug), Lisa Hill (Jeff), Chris Stewart (Nancy) and Drake Stewart; her grandchildren, Jonathan Hill, Brandon Dillard (Erin), Amanda, Drake Stewart, T. J., Cody and Miriah Williams; her great grandchildren, Roland, Ryder, Reagan and Rosalie; her sister Hazel Grace Carter; and also Gloria Ramirez. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, "adopted" children and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (1211 Jimmy Daniel Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Habitat for Humanity (https://www.habitat.org) or to the The Carter Center.
