She was predeceased by: her parents, William DeWitt Harrell and Shirley Jamieson Harrell. She is survived by: her children, Mary Chase Bolden (Greg) and Clayborne Mills; her stepson John Mills; her sister Paula Crosby (Craig); her granddaughter Regan Chase Bolden; and her nieces and nephews, Taylor Crosby (Natalie), Leigh Williford (Danny) and Chandler Jones (Cliff).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital or English Springer Rescue America.
