He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Walter Layher and Irene Jennings Layher. He is survived by: his wife Rose Eldred Layher; his children, Vickie Carrier of Watkinsville, Dr. John W. Layher, Jr. (Rose) of Athens and Michael Layher (Shonna) of Fishers, IN; his brother James Layher (Bonnie) of Wheaton; and his grandchildren, Chris Carrier (Allie DeAngelus), John Evan Layher, Chase Layher, Michael Bauer (Negin) and Shannon Batalis (Peter). He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
