He was predeceased by: his brothers, Albert Lloyd Hale and Roy Edward Hale. He is survived by: his wife Mary Dodd Hardigree Hale; his brother Victor C. Hale (Inez); his children, Albert Hale (Sandra), Kris Christopher (Jesse) and Stephanie Wright (Jody); and his grandchildren, Cherri Royster (Chris), James Hale (Michelle), Regina Zuck (Jon), Daniel Hale, Johnny Christopher (Tandy), Carlton Hale (Brandy), Annie Moorman (Matt), Mari Seagraves (Joel), Halee Griffith (Austin) and Jessica Reynolds (Rob).
