He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Mae Jones and Willie Eugenia Warren; and his sisters, Anne Tiller, Faye Roberts and Josephine Marion.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Dickens Jones; his children, Jackie Kidd (Tim), Jane Hillsman (Charles), Jennifer Nelms (Bill) and J. Jones (Kelly); his grandchildren, Audrey Bell Brown (R. C.), Nick Hillsman (Samantha), Kasey Hillsman Dickerson (Wesley), Julie Hillsman, Taylor Jones, Tanner Peterson, Britni Peterson Toole (Jerrid) and Caleb Jones; and his great grandchildren, Anabell Brown, Ransom Brown, Sadie Hillsman and Beau Dickerson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
