He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chandler McKay Gardner and Gladys Evans Gardner; his friends, Sandra, Warren Schjonning and Jack; his wife Harriet Deloris Gardner; his stepson David Parsley (Adrienne) of Charlottesville; his children, Aidan, Brendan and Claire Parsley; his stepdaughter Marie Mabry of Houston; his sister Kay; and his sister-in-law Debra Sims (Randall) of Carrollton. He was also cherished by nephews, cousins, and many faithful friends.
