He was predeceased by: his parent James Carl Maxey; his wife Sandra Elaine Saye Maxey; and his siblings, James Maxey, Gloria Carson and Carl "Mac" Maxey.
He is survived by: his parent Ann Elizabeth Hammond Maxey; his children, Phillip Maxey of Watkinsville, Paul Maxey (Merry) of Bishop and Amanda Triano (John) of Dacula, GA; his grandchildren, Tyler, Spencer, Tucker Maxey, Maddie Triano and Marc Triano; his sister Shirley Seagraves of Statham; and also Nina Maxey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Christian Church.
