We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2023, at the age of 87, Franklin Shumake of Watkinsville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Shumake and Knoxie Shumake; and his siblings, Melvin Shumake and Ernestine Ray. He is survived by: his wife Hildred Hardigree Shumake; his children, Joy, Ed Tant, Jan, Stan Witherington, Steve and Alonya Shumake; and his grandchildren, Daniel, Christy Butler, Marie, Richard Jones, Sara, Andy Torbert, Emma, Paul Heffernan, Jamie, Chris Tripp and Maya Shumake.
